Stencils make it Paint-by-Numbers!
In recent times we at Cape Craft Services have seen a steady increase in mommies waiting for their special day, and they all have had the same request – “I want to decorate my nursery, any ideas?” The easiest way we can assist is by showing them a range of stencils by use of which even the most artistically challenged person can sketch and paint a variety of designs in any size you like on a plain wall to transform a room almost magically.
While the baby boomers have discovered the ease of stencils (and they are great because they are re-useable), decorating fundi’s have for years been frequenting our doorstep in search of that special motif to complement a specific fabric, or to create a visually appealing accent in space that would otherwise have been dead and lent nothing to the total “look” of a room. We have designed a range of unique stencils (Click on the cupcake wrapper and stencil link elsewhere on this page to visit the gallery) to suit every taste, level of skill and budget. Even just a stenciled fake dado rail can transform the ordinary into something spectacular. All that is needed is some time, a little bit of paint and imagination, and a stencil, of course.
If you do not want to paint a wall, how about designing your own stencil and use it to create your own designer fabric? With the matric ball season nearly upon us it is the perfect time to perfect your fabric painting techniques, and to make sure NO-ONE has even the same fabric design as yours – be the belle of the ball this year!
Besides the decorative uses of stencils, we find a major application is in the marking of equipment or belongings. If you are going to use a larger format stencil with lettering, we have designed stencils with handles and over-spray guards to facilitate the quick marking of objects using tins of spray paint.
